On February 22-24, the Carroll Academy Chapter of the National Beta Club attended the the Mississippi State Beta Club Convention. During the convention, several students competed in the various academic and talent competions. The talent group finished in the Top 5 in the group talent competition. The group consisted of Hillary Upchurch, Kelsey Johnson, Lynn Carnaggio, Jessica Counts, Olivia Bowlin, Shanna Rae Baker, Haley Liddell, and Dara McCluskey. The girls performance was titled "Dancin' Thru the Decades" and they performed to a variety of titles representing the past four decades. Sophomore Jayme Williams placed third in the science competition which earned the Carroll Academy Beta Club a bid to participate in the National Convention which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky this summer. Congratulations to all of the students for the achievements at the State Convention and Good Luck at the Nationals in July.
