First, I would like to thank the returning patrons and welcome the new patrons to Carroll Academy. The administration, staff, and school board are excited about the 2009-2010 school year.

This year there have been significant changes and improvements made in our school. First is the hiring of some outstanding new staff members to go along with teachers that are returning. Mr. David Arrington ( H.S. math and girls basketball) and Mrs. Liz Wilson (H.S. English) are new staff members who have been added to our teaching staff. They both come to us with outstanding recommendations and we are very excited to have them coming to Carroll. Also, returning to Carroll after a brief retirement is one of the outstanding math teachers in Mississippi. Mr. Terry Tingle will resume his role as our H.S. math teacher. We feel that our staff, K3 thru 12th grade, is the best staff that has been assembled at CA in the last several years.

There have been many improvements and a lot of work going on this summer in the buildings and around campus. The elementary building has been painted throughout and all the floors have been refinished. As you the enter the campus you will notice new gates at the entrances to the campus and a new awning has been added to the Jenny McBride building, thanks to the outstanding members of our TPA. I would like to encourage all of you to join this group and become an active member. Another group that needs your help is the athletic Booster Club which I encourage all of you to join and become a supporter, whether you have a child involved in athletics or not. The school is taking a bigger role in the Booster Club this year and we will be asking all of our parents for help at athletic events. You will be notified later about times and dates when you will be needed.

As you can see, the future for Carroll Academy is promising and with your support we will have a school that is second to none academically and athletically. We are very excited about this school year and look forward to working with our students.
